Walking Reykjavík
Reykjavík is small enough that one walk covers a genuine share of it. From the old harbour up to Hallgrímskirkja is a gentle climb through Laugavegur and the timber and corrugated-iron houses of Þingholt, and an orientation walk early in a trip makes the rest easier to plan. Beyond that the themes are local: food walks lean on the sea and on what Icelanders actually eat, while folklore routes work with elves, hidden people and the long dark, which here is less a gimmick than an old habit.
